If we consider 125 cc standard bikes in Bangladesh, we must consider top-rated few bikes named Bajaj Discover 124, TVS Stryker, Hero Glamour and Honda CB Shine. But now, they are going to see a new competitor from another Japanese brand Suzuki. The bike is Suzuki EN 125 which is going to launch in Bangladesh soon enough. It is a standard bike but style is pretty much attractive.
Suzuki is one of the four top-rated Japanese brands and after Honda and Yamaha, Suzuki is the 3rd most reputed Japanese brand so far. In Bangladesh they are heavy demanded since the beginning. There was a bike of Suzuki named Samurai which once dominated the market of Bangladesh. Like it, Suzuki EN 125 would be one top rated bike in the segment and it has the all qualities to dominate the market. Actually Suzuki is going to launch EN 125 and GN 125 in the country at the same time but we have yet to know the details of the bike EN 125. Our today’s topic is to make a specification review of the bike Suzuki EN 125. Let’s take a look below where we can find the details of the bike.
Design & looks: Suzuki EN 125 has an almost classic-looking front end. It has a round headlamp with the muscular fuel tank. It has no headlamp guard attached but the engine is as well fully naked. There are long seating positions with a pillion grabrail and a long carrier added. It has a well-designed exhaust with not so wide tyres. The handlebar is standard measured and ensures proper comfort. Considering overall looks, the bike Suzuki EN 125 is a fully standard category.
Buying a grey import can cause problems when getting parts, however as the EN is made by Suzuki, the parts can be obtained reasonably easily if you know what to look for and where to get it. The obvious place, I thought, was where I bought the EN from, but when I needed to get new mirrors and a brake lever following my accident, Scott Murray Motorcycles didn't have any spares in stock, didn’t know how long it would take to get them in and didn't know how much they would cost (made me wonder what they did know!). That led me to seek alternatives…
Engine performance: The engine of Suzuki EN 125 is very much reliable. It consists of four-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC and one cylinder added. The engine can generate 11 Bhp max power but the max torque remains unknown. It has an electric starting system added with a five-speed gearbox. The engine is very powerful considering the segment which is why the bike’s speed is too good. Reportedly the bike can make more than 110 kmph top speed so far.
Dimensions & seating position: The curb weight of the bike is simply alright. Its weight is 112 kg reportedly. The length of the bike is 1945 mm and the wheelbase is 1265 mm. The fuel tank can contain 14 liters of fuel so far. The bike has a long seating position where almost two pillions can ride at a time.
The other feature I liked about the EN was the luggage rack at the rear. It wasn't designed for carrying anything too heavy (3kgs was the weight limit if I recall correctly), but it allowed me to fit a top box to the bike, in which I could carry a change of trousers etc. With bungee cords, I would have been able to carry a spare helmet or tied down a bag (if I didn’t want to carry a rucksack on my back).
There's a small amount of storage space under the seat, which I used for storing my disk lock during travel. I could have probably fitted a thin pair of waterproof trousers under the seat if I didn’t ride in waterproof bike trousers anyway.
Suspension & Brakes: The bike Suzuki EN 125 has front telescopic suspension and rear twin shocks added. Besides, it has very good braking combination. There are front single disc brake added and rear drum brake which is 130 mm. The tyres are not so wide but the wheels are alloy.
Mileage: The mileage of the bike Suzuki EN 125 is not so good. But still we do not know the actual mileage of the bike because it is not available right now. Hopefully it would not disappoint the customers which are thinking about buying the bike.
Instrument Panel & Features: The instrument panel of the bike is updated. It has a speedometer, rpm meter, odometer, turn lamp and tail lamp added.
