Honda SP 125 BS6 is a newly released refreshed model in the Honda CB Shine motorcycle series that has been released by Honda Two-Wheelers India. Honda SP 125 BS6 is the new version in the Honda CB Shine series that comes with a diamond-type steel frame. In the wheels, it got all new sporty split-spoke alloy rims and tubeless type street tires. In the braking system, the motorcycle comes with a hydraulic disc brake on the front wheel whereas the rear setup is drum type. Here the CBS enhancement is standard with the bike and the front drum brake comes as an option.

In the suspension system, Honda SP 125 BS6 comes with a regular upright hydraulic telescopic fork suspension system in the front, and at the rear, it's a double unit that is spring-loaded and 5-way adjustable type. Hence the motorcycle comes with a very decent setup of wheels, brake, and suspension system, and those are featured for better on-road performances.

Honda SP 125 BS6 – Engine Performance & Features

The new Honda SP 125 BS6 is a 125cc street-naked commuter motorcycle. The engine is a 123.94cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC 2-valve engine that features a PGM-FI fuel feeding system. Here the bore & stroke is 50.0mm X 63.1mm and the compression is 10:1. The clutch multi-plate wet clutch system and the transmission is featured a 5-speed gear with the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5. The engine can be ignited both with the manual kick starter and electric start system. 

The new BS6 tweaked engine is now refined with Honda’s Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology that maximizes engine performance as well as the fuel-efficiency by reducing cylinder and rocker roller arm frictions. Further, the newly added ACG starter feature integrated with eSP technology starts the engine more quietly. Thus it gives the rider the best riding experience and ensures better power delivery and increases fuel economy by up to 16%.

Therefore, Honda SP 125 BS6 engine is now more refined and tweaked for better power delivery and maximum fuel economy. Accordingly, the engine now can deliver the maximum power of 8kW@7,500RPM and the maximum torque of 10.9Nm@6,000RPM. Supporting the efficiency characteristics the motorcycle is now enhanced with a side stand engine cut-off feature and also added engine kill switch on the right handlebar. Thus Honda SP 125 is now more conveniently controllable.
