VERDICT
Honda Shine is a very popular motorcycle series in the commuter motorcycle market produced and marketed by Honda Two-Wheelers India. It’s a solid commuter motorcycle series that dedicatedly features solid commuting-focused design and ergonomics and has been enhanced with very economical commuting-friendly elements. Maintaining the same trend, Honda has newly added the Honda Shine 100 DX model in their Shine motorcycle lineup.
The new motorcycle comes with an extensive range of exterior refreshment, a bunch of technical feature updates, and of-course engine refinement. However, the Honda Shine 100 DX comes with a decently performer and very fuel-economic 100cc engine and also features a compatible wheel, brake, and suspension system. Therefore, along with a sleek and slim design enhanced with sporty color and graphical scheme, the motorcycle is extensively featured to be a very practical motorcycle to cope with our daily life commuting needs.
Honda Shine 100 DX – Physical Attributes:
The Honda Shine 100 DX is an updated model in the Honda Shine commuter motorcycle series that is dedicatedly refreshed to better support our daily life commuting. In the look and design, the motorcycle comes with a very sleek and solid design. Even being a dedicated commuter, the motorcycle represents a vibe from its top to bottom that also remains identical to the Honda Shine motorcycle series. Therefore, most of the body elements swapped from its base model.
However, the motorcycle features a sporty, curved, and aerodynamic headlamp assembly that holds a bright halogen headlamp and the separate turn indicators mounted on both sides. Inside the curvy headlamp muffler, the ODO is an updated unit that is fully digital and shows an extensive range of parameters.
Here, the key holder is mounted in the middle of the cockpit board and the upright pipe handlebar holds all the control switches. Next, the fuel tank of the motorcycle is now bigger in size that is quite rounded in the edges and nicely matted with sporty side panels. Meanwhile, the fuel tank and the side panels carry a very attractive graphic scheme that looks very cool.
The seat of the motorcycle is a single-piece unit but nicely curved for rider and passenger seating. The seat is large and spacious enough and has heavy grabrail support at the tail. In the rests of the body elements, the Shine 100 DX features nicely designed alloy wheels and mudguard setups. The exhaust barrel also matches the overall profile of the motorcycle. Thus, the motorcycle comes with an updated design that is pretty attractive and can nicely match any age of rider.

Honda Shine 100 DX is an updated motorcycle model in the Honda Shine motorcycle lineup. The motorcycle is designed on a diamond-type steel frame. In the wheels, it features all-alloy rims and tubeless type street tires in measure of 2.75-17 in the front and 3.00-17 at the rear.
In the braking system, the motorcycle features drum-type brakes on both wheels, and the braking system is enhanced with the CBS safety feature. The engine can be ignited with both the manual kick starter and electric start system.
This fuel-efficient engine is refined with Honda’s Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology that maximizes engine performance as well as ensures the maximum possible fuel economy. Accordingly, the engine can deliver a maximum power of 7.28BHP at 7,500RPM and a maximum torque of 8.04Nm@5,000RPM. Therefore, the Honda Shine 100 DX engine is refined and tweaked for smooth engine performance ensuring a decent range of fuel economy.
