Overview:
The Honda Dream Neo is a 110 CC economic commuter bike from the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India PVT. LTD. (HMSI) (Source). It is a bike for those who do not what to burn a hole into their pocket just doing everyday city works, those who want a reliable bike capable of taking every beating that an all-day city commuting has to offer and not complain about it. So, how would it do? Let’s find out.
Engine:
The new Dream Neo has the same 110 cc engine as the old CB Twister had. Do not get upset right way, the engine has some redesigned parts now that gives more power and torque in lower RPM.
The engine is 109.19 CC, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, overhead cam, air-cooled, 2 valves, a single spark, HET engine. The HET, by the way, is Honda’s new technical term for better fuel-efficient engines that have been developed by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Private Limited.
The cylinder has 50.0 mm bore and 55.6 mm stroke resulting that 109.19 CC of piston displacement. The compression ratio used is 9.9:1 which ensures the longevity of the piston hence the engine considering the available gasoline quality in Bangladesh.
The engine is fed through a Carburetor Honda did not revile any specific model that means it might be adopted from the CB Twister and tuned it for the Dream Neo though it has lessened the peak power figure than Twister, it will not be felt in the real world.
The engine is equipped with a Viscous paper filter element as an air filter for healthy breathing. The engine’s lubrication system is also unknown. And all these results in 8.25 BHP of peak power at 7500 RPM and 8.63 Nm of maximum torque at 5500 RPM.
The engine is feed from an 8-liter fuel tank which should be enough for city commuting. The Wet weight is 107 Kg hence the bike has a power to weight ratio of 3.5 HP per 100 KG. The Dream Neo has an Electric starter as well as a basic kick starter.
Transmission:
The Honda Dream Neo is mated with 4-speed constant mesh transmission with all up gear configuration, so no surprise there. The transmission has a wet multi-plate clutch. The gear ratios are also unknown.
Design:
The Dream Neo has been designed to not look very premium certainly but it catches the eyes of the onlookers. It has very simple yet smart design factors. It has a very nice paint job that is the most noticeable quotient of the Neo. The headlight is big and has a modern look with a sporty visor up top. The front fender looks nice and elegant.
The tank is big and very common looking though it has some well-curved contours on it. The tank has a 3D Honda wing Logo emblem on it which looks and feels very premium than any stickers. The whole bike is covered with some new and modern graphic decals that give the bike a very neat and fresh look. The side-panels are newly designed and the design goes with the whole bike design.
The bike has the all-black under body theme in it. So from the alloy wheels to the engine to the silencer pipe and the frame all are painted black to give this bike an elegant look. The chrome-finished exhaust guard blends well with the body graphics and looks premium too.
The seat and the grab rail in the back look nice. The tail lamp is conventional-looking and creates multi reflection effect that looks nice and also makes the bike more visible in the dark or low visible condition. The Neo is available in 3 variants, Black with a red stripe, Black with blue strip and Imperial Red Metallic.
Instrument console:
The Honda Dream Neo has an old designed two circular pods fitted side by side as its instrument cluster. The left pod has a speedometer and an odometer. The left pod has a single fuel gauge and a high beam indicator on it. The console is equipped with some basic indicators.
Switch Gears:
Like all other Honda bikes in the economy segment the Dream Neo lack an engine kill switch. Other than that rest of the switches are standard with a high beam flasher. The grips are soft and made of good quality rubber.
Electricals:
The Honda Dream Neo 110 uses a 12 V, 3Ah maintenance-free battery and an AC generator. The bike uses a DC-Digital Ignition System. The Bike has a bright 35/35 W Multi reflector clear lens AC head lamp, 5/21 W LED tail /Brakes light and each 10 W clear lens turn signal light.
Chassis & Dimensions:
Honda used a Diamond type frame for the foundation of the Dream Neo, which should be enough for a 110 CC bike. The Honda Dream Neo has an overall length of 2009 mm, a width of 737 mm, the height of 1074 mm, ground clearance of 179 mm and a wheelbase of 1258 mm. The wet weight (with tool kit & 90% of fuel) of the bike is 107 Kg. This mean that the bike has an average footprint in terms of dimensions in its competition.
Suspension:
The Honda Dream Neo is equipped with Telescopic forks at the front and 3 steps adjustable spring-loaded shocks with a hydraulic damper at the rear which are attached with a rectangular swing arm. This suspension setup is more than standard in its segment and works better for soaking up all the bumps of all kind of roads with even a pillion in the back.
Wheels, Brakes & Tires:
The Honda Dream Neo uses their conventional 6-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels and 130 mm drum brake comes with it as standard but no optional Disc brake is offered and a 130mm drum brake is a fitter at the rear. The tires sizes are 80/ 100-18” at the front and 80/ 100-18” at the rear. Both of these tires are tubeless and offer great grip.
Performance:
The new Honda Dream Neo should reach the 60 Km/H marks in around 7 or 8 sec and the mileage claim is 74 Km/L on highways. But in the local driving condition, it should give somewhere around 55-60KMPL.
Comfort and Handling:
The Dream Neo is a very lightweight bike with a relatively strong frame. So the is easily maneuverable in the city traffics and also stable at the highway on the top speed. The seat is well designed and well-cushioned too, which gives the rider and the pillion a very pleasant ride.
The seating position is upright and the footpegs are forward positioned which makes the all day long city commuting a little less stress full. The bike can give you whatever performance you want regarding its little engine.

The Honda Dream Neo is an attempt to give the customer a comfortable, economical, reliable, and stylish 110 CC bike. So lets see all Honda Bike Price In Bangladesh and other all bike price in BD.
