The Hero Xtreme is a very popular motorcycle series in the Hero motorcycle and scooter lineup, and Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is the latest updated motorcycle in the series. The Hero Xtreme is a dedicated street-naked motorcycle series established by Hero MotoCorp, known for its aggressive urban styling and sporty exterior profile. The new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is a new addition to the series that has been developed on the Xtreme 160R base model, which now comes with an updated engine profile and a few more technical enhancements. In the exterior profile, the motorcycle remains almost the same as the base model but that uplifted with a refreshed graphical tone.

The new Xtreme 160R 4V, at the first look, catches attention with its sharply visible multi-pit LED headlamp assembly featuring integrated LED DRLs. Above the headlamp, a digital ODO cluster is mounted naked without any fairing. The ODO is an all-new unit that comes with an attractive negative display and Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones. The pipe handlebar has been designed with quality control switch arrangements that enhance the motorcycle's overall control and compatibility.

Next, the fuel tank of the motorcycle retains its iconic shape but has received a facelift and is now adorned with an attractive skin tone. The single-piece seat comes with a split and step-up design that is sporty in appearance, where the rider and pillion seats are positioned at different heights. Integrated grab rails have been added beside the rear seat, while the tail section remains similar to the Xtreme 160R base model. 

However, throughout a compact and sporty exhaust barrel, the new Xtreme 160R 4V appears to be sportier from the rear. In the other body elements, the motorcycle features a sharply visible golden-colored USD fork setup and a well-crafted engine underbelly pan. Overall, the refreshed exterior of the motorcycle exudes compactness, muscularity, and reflects its aggressive nature, which is lively enhanced with the new color and graphics scheme. Thus, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V now comes with a refreshed and distinctive appearance.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V – Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System:

The new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is an updated model in the Hero Xtreme motorcycle lineup. It is equipped with a Tubular Underbone Diamond frame, which is consistent across the entire Hero Xtreme motorcycle's current lineup. In the wheels, the motorcycle is fitted with alloy rims and tubeless type tires in a measure of 100/80-17 in the front and 130/70-17 tire at the rear.

In the braking system, the new Xtreme 160R 4V features hydraulic disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. In addition, the braking system is augmented by a dual-channel ABS safety feature to enhance braking safety. 

The suspension systems of the motorcycle have now been updated with a 37mm KYB USD fork suspension at the front, replacing the conventional upright suspension. At the rear, it incorporates a 7-step adjustable mono shock absorber connected to the swingarm hinge. These competent features ensure a reliable performance for sure.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V – Engine Performance & Features:

The new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is an uplifted version of the Hero Xtreme motorcycle series. The motorcycle now comes with an updated 163.2cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-oil-cooled engine. This engine features a 4-valve system and is upgraded with an electronic fuel injection system, replacing the older carburetor fuel feeding system. The engine is fitted with a manual multi-plate wet clutch system and a 5-speed gear transmission with the pattern 1-N-2-3-4-5. The motorcycle starts using the electric start system only.

In terms of power and performance, the new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V engine has been optimized for smoother power and torque delivery. Moreover, with the new tweaks, the motorcycle can also ensure improved fuel economy. Consequently, the engine is now capable of generating a maximum power of 16.67BHP at 8,500RPM and a torque of 14.6Nm at 6,500RPM. With these enhancements, the motorcycle can reach to top speed faster and also can provide a decent range of fuel economy in both city and highway ride conditions.
