Yamaha is one of the leading and most reliable motorcycle manufacturing brand in the world. This Japanese giant amazes us with their premium and attractive motorcycles each and every year. On April 11, 2022, they launched the all-new, refreshing edition of MT-15 V2 in India.

Along with the Yamaha MT-15 V2, Yamaha also launched the 60th Anniversary edition of the Yamaha R15 V4, which is inspired by their first world championship motorcycle, the YZR-M1.
The Yamaha MT-15 has always been hugely popular among bikers for its excellent braking and controlling capabilities coupled with impeccable engine performance. This new version of Yamaha MT-15 V2 launched with some improved features. So let’s take a look at these changes.
Major Changes of MT-15 V2:
- 37 mm golden USD fork suspension.
- New LCD instrument console
- MotoGP-inspired aluminum swingarm.
- Yamaha Y-connect.
- Two new color variants.
Yamaha users have long desired USD suspension in the Yamaha MT-15 and R15 series, and their wish has finally been granted. This 37 mm golden USD fork suspension is absolutely stunning and adds a touch of class to this naked streetfighter.
The other notable change is the MotoGP-inspired aluminum swingarm setting, but the previous delta box frame remains the same. This premium swingarm and frame combination will provide excellent braking and controlling ability for the riders.
You will also get a new LCD instrument console which will show you a custom animated welcome message every time you switch on the motorcycle. It also gets Yamaha’s Y-connect Bluetooth connectivity, which will allow you to access your smartphone.

The engine power comes from a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that can produce 18.4 PS of maximum power and 14.1 Nm of torque. Slipper and assist clutches, as well as VVA technology, remain standard. They have also introduced two new color variants, which are Cyan Storm and Racing Blue. But there will be no dual-channel ABS.
Along with the MT-15 V2, they have also introduced the 60th Anniversary Edition of the Yamaha R15M, which is inspired by their first MotoGP bike the YZR-M1. This iconic edition gets a white and red "Speed Block" color scheme with golden alloy wheels. The other features remain the same as on the Yamaha R15M.
