Bangladesh Honda Private Limited (BHL) has continued to roll out new models due to increasing demand for bikes within the country. To continue with this market effort, Honda has unveiled the Honda SP125 in the 125cc commuter market segment of the Bangladeshi market.

New Honda SP125 Launched In Bangladesh
The Honda SP125 was introduced on Monday, February 9, 2026, with no special occasion; it was mostly announced online. This strategy contrasts with that of Honda Bangladesh, which previously launched a product such as the NX200 amid a big ceremony.
The Honda SP125 has followed a divergent path that Honda has already achieved with the model in the commuter market. It has since been brought back by the company in a reformatted form to the consumers in Bangladesh.

The new version, according to sources, is more up-to-date than the old one, which has new and technology-driven features and a fashionable and modern design. Honda SP125 DLX has been priced at BDT 167,000.
Honda has also indicated that the new SP125 will be equipped with a better safety system and will perform better than the expectations of customers.

Fuel efficiency is a major factor for riders who have to use motorcycles on a daily basis. The engine of Honda SP125 is a 125cc air-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine with PGM-FI. The engine has a horsepower of 10.8 and a Nm of 10.9, which can be used in daily commuting in the city.
Honda boasts that the motorcycle will achieve a mileage of about 68 kilometres per litre, and this is likely to save a lot of money for the users in terms of fuel costs.
In this model, Honda first came up with ISS (Idling Stop System) technology. The system identifies stationaries of the motorcycle when wheel speed sensors and throttle sensors are used. The engine will turn off automatically after three seconds of immobility and will turn on very fast when one needs it.
Such a system assists in avoiding needless use of fuel during idle and stop-and-go traffic situations, as well as leading to an increase of engine life.
Honda SP125 is introduced in four colour variants, which include Pearl Siren Blue, Imperial Red Metallic, Matte Marvel blue and Black.

It can be projected that the model will become a reasonably priced product in the commuter motorcycle market in Bangladesh, especially among working people and those who ride on a daily basis.
