Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 - Features
Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 took the inspiration from the Hero Xtreme 1R Concept bike which was displayed back in EICMA 2019. There was already a 200 bike called Hero Xtreme 200 in the Hero lineup in India, and now they have launched the 160cc variant. The new 160cc naked sports from Hero comes equipped with 160cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine which puts out a maximum of 15 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and 14 NM of torque at 6500 rpm. The power is delivered through a 5-speed manual gearbox. The bike has two variants - Dual Disc variant and Single-Disc variant. The party piece of the bike is the single-channel ABS up front. BS6 standard makes it mandatory for bikes over 125cc to have ABS, therefore this Hero Xtreme 160R Bs6 has a single-channel ABS on the front wheel in both the variants.

The bike has a completely different approach and styling than any of the previous 150cc Xtreme bikes. This has a really muscular fuel tank, along with a really aggressive headlamp. The bike features a sporty seat, under-seat grab rail, and most importantly, a really out of the box muffler. This muffler is already catching so much attention because of its design and bulkiness, and there is a good chance this will sound good too.

The suspensions are conventional - telescopic fork at front with 37mm of travel and seven-step adjustable rear mono-shock suspension. The bike has 110 section tyre at the front and 130 section tyre at the rear wheel - and both the wheels are 17 inch alloy rims. The bike weighs 138 kilograms, and the company claims that this will reach 0-60 KMPH in 4.7 seconds. This is in the zone of the competitors. This bike was designed to compete with other 160cc Naked Sports like Bajaj Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer, etc. You can get this bike in Hero Showroom near you.
