Futuri Motion Tech Introduces the ÖTX Controller to Use Öhlins Electronic Suspension on Any Motorcycle

Last updated on 14-May-2026 , By Saleh

In the global motorcycle industry, electronic suspension systems have been considered as a premium technology for long. These advanced suspension systems are usually found on most high-end motorcycles especially from brands like Ducati, BMW, Yamaha, KTM, and Aprilia. This is because electronic suspension systems are complex to operate and usually requires complex electronic architecture, therefore, only OEM electronic devices could control them till the date.

Hopefully, we guess that era is over now, and a small technology company based on motorcycle modification and customization from the Netherlands called Futuri Motion Tech has introduced a new electronic device to control Ohlins electronic suspension systems. Futuri named it Futuri ÖTX Controller, and with this controller, compatible Öhlins electronic suspension systems can be used almost on any motorcycle. So here we have highlights on this gadget from Futuri Motion Tech that may open up exciting possibilities for riders and custom bike builders.

Who Is Futuri Motion Tech?

Futuri Motion Tech is a small but highly innovative engineering workshop based on motorcycle modification and customization from the Netherlands founded by a Dutch engineer Mark van Veggel. Mark van Veggel works alone and his company mainly works on custom motorcycle development and advanced aftermarket technology solutions for high-tech motorcycles.

In the beginning, he and his small company was focused on custom Ducati projects, aftermarket electronics development, fabrication, and performance engineering. Over the time, Futuri Motion Tech became well known among the motorcyclists for developing high-tech aftermarket solutions for premium motorcycles from other brands.

What makes the company special is its ability to create stand-alone aftermarket solutions by breaking the usual boundaries of traditional aftermarket support, using custom electronics development, ECU integration, CAD-based design, carbon fabrication, and advanced motorcycle control system development. The company's new ÖTX Controller is a real example of this, which opens up the possibility of using the Electronic Öhlins Suspension System on any bike without OEM electronics.

What is the Futuri ÖTX Controller?

Generally, Öhlins electronic suspension systems depend on the motorcycle manufacturer’s OEM electronic ecosystem to operate and control. That is, these suspension units cannot work independently, but using the Futuri ÖTX Controller, a rider can directly and separately control Öhlins electronic suspensions without factory ECU support.

As a result, compression damping, rebound damping, suspension presets, etc. can be done using this suspension on any bike. And this independent control unit can also be connected to Öhlins rear-shock, fork-cartridge, steering damper, etc. And the biggest advantage is that it works as a standalone system. That is, without a Factory ECU or OEM Control Unit, it will allow the use of Öhlins' advanced electronic components on any bike.

A New Possibility for the Aftermarket Industry

Futuri Motion Tech designed the ÖTX Controller with a retro handheld gadget style. Its transparent housing and simple design give it the appearance of a gaming device from the 1990s. The internal hardware can also be upgraded and customized over time.

For modern riders who like to experiment with suspension tuning and chassis geometry, this controller could become a very useful and affordable tool. It may also create new opportunities for custom motorcycle builders and for testing both new and used Öhlins electronic components.

Overall, the ÖTX Controller from Futuri Motion Tech could open a completely new chapter in motorcycle customization and aftermarket performance upgrades globally.
