Yamaha MT-03 is an exclusively featured twin-cylinder naked streetfighter motorcycle from the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha, therefore, Yamaha Motor Company Limited. It’s a quarter-liter street-naked sportbike from Yamaha in their MT naked-sport series after the younger sibling MT-25 that had debuted targeting the entry-level naked sportbike enthusiast. The motorcycle has marketed very especially focusing on the Asian and European motorcycle markets.

The Yamaha MT-03 is considered the liter-class entry model in the Yamaha naked streetfighter series that caries Yamaha’s MT, therefore, Master of Torque core Street-Naked DNA. The motorcycle was designed and manufactured in the shadow of Yamaha's flagship naked sports model MT-01 and then the MT-07 model. Therefore, the Yamaha MT-03 carries the new MT SuperNaked DNA along with the on-rolling MT-07 styling. 

Meanwhile, in the success of the MT-25, Yamaha released this big-bore model MT-03 based on the same inline-two-cylinder concept in 2016 and marketed on other global markets. Yamaha MT-03 – Physical Attributes:

Yamaha MT motorcycle series is a very popular street-naked motorcycle series currently in the global market particularly for its tagline “Master of Torque”. Here MT-03 fuel tank displays a multi-scalped design that remains consistently iconic throughout the entire series. The steel diamond chassis is exposed in parallel to compact and sleek side panels. Also, the seat is a sporty split type that is segmented and positioned at different heights. The tail remains exclusively sharp with an extremely edgy tail panel and the LED tail lamp mounted underneath the pillion seat. Thus, the tail remains naked featuring a bikini registration plate hanger extending to a tiny mudguard.

In the rest, the motorcycle showcases a very decently designed matt finished sporty exhaust muffler that features a matt silver exhaust cap and a bikini heatshield. In the other parts, MT-03 features a very minimalistic sticker job and decal enhancements. Consequently, the machine is crafted with black-barrel USD forks in the front and the alloy wheel rims are shaded exclusively matching with the overall color scheme. Thus, in overall look and appearance, the Yamaha MT-03 comes out of the darkness and is solely furnished to be ready to attack the road or close-circuit racetrack.


Yamaha MT 25 – Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System:

The Yamaha MT-03 is a naked-sport streetfighter motorcycle belongs to the Yamaha MT series that is positioned as an entry-class twin-cylinder machine. As it belongs to the streetfighter motorcycle series MT-03 closely resembles the design, style, and construction of the larger MT-07 model. The motorcycle is designed on a high-tensile steel tube diamond frame along with a rigid aluminum alloy swingarm following Yamaha’s naked sport specifications.

In the wheels, MT-03 exclusively boasts fatter profile wheels fitted with highly rigid sporty alloy rims. Those are equipped with tubeless type street tires measuring 110/70-17 in the front and 140/70-17 at the rear. Here, the braking system is equally impressive and comes with wider hydraulic brake discs fitted on both the front and rear wheels. These discs are vented and petal-type, and the braking system is enhanced with a dual-channel ABS feature.

In the suspension system, the Yamaha MT-03 comes with a 37mm USD hydraulic telescopic fork suspension at the front. At the rear, it features a preload adjustable type mono suspension that is center-aligned with the aluminum swingarm. Thus altogether, the Yamaha MT-03 offers an attractive and track race feature-packed wheel, brake, and suspension setup which is also copied in the larger MT-03 model.


Yamaha MT 25 – Engine Performance & Features:

The Yamaha MT-03 is a stunningly designed street-naked machine that is tightly packed with Yamaha’s dedicated MT, therefore, Master of Torque features and unbeatable engine performances. The motorcycle features a new-generation 321cc, inline twin-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that incorporates EFI fuel injection and a DOHC 4-valve/cylinder system. The transmission of MT-03 consists of six-speed gears arranged in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5-6, and the motorcycle features an electric start system.

To enhance precision, this engine includes an engine balancer placed in a refined manner to omit the primary vibration and mechanical noises, and the wet clutch system is paired with the slipper clutch system. Here, to ensure good engine response both in lower and higher RPM it features a 180-degree crank design to this inline-twin engine. Thus, it features a power stroke in every 2-strokes.  According to Yamaha, MT-03 also adopted sophisticated R-series features like a direct-drive camshaft, forged pistons, carburized con rods, low friction cylinders, etc.

Coming to the power and performance figures, the Yamaha MT-03 engine has been optimized to deliver smoother power, excellent performance, and efficiency in both power output and fuel economy. The engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 42.0PS (30.9kW) at 10,750RPM and a torque of 29.5Nm at 9,000RPM. Consequently, the motorcycle can achieve a top speed exceeding 140kmph while can maintain a decent fuel economy under standard riding and environmental conditions.
