The new Yamaha FZ-25 is a modern commuter motorcycle that comes with a muscular and sporty design. The motorcycle comes with a decently powerful quarter-liter capacity engine. The engine is a 249cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, Oil-cooled, SOHC 2-valve, and fuel-injected engine. 

The engine features a bore and stroke of 74.0 mm x 58.0mm and a compression ratio of 9.8:1. It comes with a wet multi-plate clutch system and is paired with a 5-speed gear transmission in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5. The engine is featured with an electric start only.

In the performance figures, the engine can deliver a maximum power of 20.52 BHP at 8,000RPM and a maximum torque of 20.1NM at 6,000RPM. According to Yamaha, the FZ-25 engine has been optimized for smoother power delivery, better fuel efficiency, and improved on-road performance ensuring better emission compliance.
