Introduction

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) is a refreshed variant in the Apache RTR 160 motorcycle series. Apache RTR is a dedicated motorcycle series in the TVS street-sport motorcycle lineup, and the RTR160 4V is a feature-packed model. The RTR 160 4V models are dedicatedly designed to enhance the street sports riding experience that ensures higher engine performance and excellent fuel efficiency. 

Consequently, the RTR 160 4V model is very popular in the market. Therefore, to meet the diverse needs and requirements of the serious sport-loving riders, TVS has now released this new Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) variant with a bundle of feature updates that now comes with a Dual-channel ABS feature in its braking system, updated ODO console, new headlamp, and a more capable suspension setup. Hence, along with a competitively tuned engine, this motorcycle is now more capable of delivering compatible on-road performance.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a very popular motorcycle model in the TVS motorcycle lineup. It’s a dedicated street-naked motorcycle series and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) is a newly updated variant in the lineup. Beholding the identical exterior profile, this variant now comes with a comprehensive range of feature updates. However, along with both technical and cosmetic enhancements this model also remains identical to the base model.

In the design elements, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) can be called as a shadow of the Apache RTR 160 4V base model. Here, the headlamp assembly now features a bi-functional LED projection light along with integrated DRLs on both sides. The LED turn indicators are mounted on both sides and a new digital TFT ODO cluster is mounted above the headlamp that shows a comprehensive range of parameters and has mobile phone connectivity via Bluetooth.

The handlebar remains a solid pipe bar that features necessary control switches on both sides. Next, the fuel tank remains absolutely in identical shape that features an edgy and curvy design which is consistent throughout the series. The seat in this variant also remains identical to the base model and it’s a single-piece unit that is complemented by a heavy grabrail at the tail. Meanwhile, the tail is also unchanged here, that features an LED tail lamp and LED turn indicators mounted on both sides of the registration plate hanger.

In the other changes, the motorcycle features a pair of USD forks in the front that are highlighted with attractive golden shade. The bulkier twin-barrel Bullpup exhaust remains identical but it swapped from its bigger model that literally enhances the boldness of the motorcycle. Meanwhile, the side panels, rear panels, and engine underbelly pan remains in iconic shape but enhanced with new decal design. Therefore, along with sporty wheel setup, the entire motorcycle represents a refreshed and more attractive look.


TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) – Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System:

The new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) comes with a Double Cradle SynchroSTIFF chassis, which is common in the other models in the series. The motorcycle comes with alloy wheels featuring a 90/90-17 size tire in the front and a 130/70-17 tire at the rear.

Regarding the braking system, the motorcycle features hydraulic disc braking systems on both wheels, and the braking system is updated with a Dual-channel ABS safety feature. In the suspension system, this variant now uplifted with 37mm USD telescopic fork suspension in the front. The rear suspension is mono that is attached to the swingarm.


TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) – Engine Performance & Features:

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) comes with a new generation 159.7cc, Dual-cylinder, four-stroke, oil-cooled engine. This engine features a SOHC 4-valve design and has an electronic fuel injection system. The engine is equipped with a manual multi-plate wet clutch system and a 5-speed gear transmission system, and the motorcycle can be started using an electric start system.

In terms of power and performance, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Dual-Channel ABS) engine has been optimized for smoother power and torque delivery and improved fuel efficiency. The engine is now capable of producing a maximum power of 17.31BHP at 9,250RPM and a torque of 14.73Nm at 7,250RPM. Moreover, the motorcycle now features three different riding modes to better deal with different riding and weather conditions.
