The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is a retro-neo-styled sports cruiser motorcycle produced by Royal Enfield India. It comes with a twin downtube steadfast steel cradle frame. On the wheels, the motorcycle features all-alloy rims and fatter profile tubeless type tires in measure of 100/90-18 wheel in the front and 150/70-17 wheel at the rear.  

In the braking system the motorcycle is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes in it’s both wheels and features dual-channel ABS enhancement. The motorcycle comes with a 648cc parallel twin-cylinder, four-stroke, air-oil-cooled, SOHC engine. This engine features a bore and stroke of 78.0mm x 67.8mm and a compression ratio of 9.5:1. This BS6 compliant engine incorporates an electronic fuel injection system, and TCS digital spark ignition system.

The engine is paired with a manual 6-plate wet clutch system and a 6-speed gear transmission in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5-6. The engine starting is facilitated by an electric start system only. In terms of power and performance, the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650's low-emission engine has been tuned for smoother power delivery, sharp acceleration, and efficient fuel economy. As a result, this engine is rated to produce a maximum power of 47HP at 7,250RPM and a torque of 52.3Nm at 5,250RPM. 

This tuning allows the motorcycle to deliver high torque at low RPMs and cruise comfortably at a top speed of around 150kmph, characterized by the signature Royal Enfield exhaust note. Additionally, the Shotgun 650 can offer a decent fuel economy of approximately 25kmpl under standard riding and environmental conditions.
