The engine features a bore & stroke of 78mmX86mm and a compression ratio of 9.5:1. It incorporates an electronic fuel injection system and is paired with a 5-speed gear transmission in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5-. The engine starting is facilitated by an electric start system only.

In terms of power and performance, the new Royal Enfield Scram 411's low-emission engine has been tuned for smoother power delivery, sharp acceleration, and efficient fuel economy. However, this engine is tuned to produce a maximum power output of 24.31PS at 6,500RPM and a torque of 32.0Nm at 4,500RPM. This tuning allows the motorcycle to deliver high torque at low RPMs and cruise comfortably at a top speed of around 120kmph, characterized by the signature Himalayan exhaust note.
