The engine is paired with a manual multi-plate wet clutch system and a 5-speed gear transmission in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5. The engine starting is facilitated by electric start systems only.

In terms of power and performance, the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 Chrome (Red / Bronze) low-emission engine is tuned for smoother power delivery, sharp acceleration, and efficient fuel economy. This offset engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 20.4PS at 6,100RPM and a torque of 27.0Nm at 4,000RPM. This tuning allows the motorcycle to deliver high torque at low RPM and cruise comfortably at a top speed of around 110kmph and provide fuel economy of around 30kmph under standard riding and environmental conditions.
