On the wheels, the motorcycle features classic wired spoke steel rims and tube-type commuting tires in measure of 90/90-19 tire in the front and 110/80-18 tire at the rear. This engine features a bore and stroke of 84.0mm x 90.0mm and a compression ratio of 8.5:1. The engine also features an electronic fuel injection system, replacing the old carburetor fuel feeding system. The engine is paired with a manual multi-plate wet clutch system and a 5-speed gear transmission in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5. The engine starting is facilitated by both electric and kickstart systems.

In terms of power and performance, the new Royal Enfield Bullet Trials 500's low-emission engine is tuned for smoother power delivery, sharp acceleration, and efficient fuel economy. This offset engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 27.2BHP at 5,250RPM and a torque of 41.3Nm at 4,000RPM. This tuning allows the motorcycle to deliver high torque at low RPM and cruise comfortably at a top speed of around 120kmph and provide fuel economy of around 25kmph under standard riding and environmental conditions.
