Regal Raptor Bobber Overview

Introduction

The Bobber culture in Bangladesh was first introduced by Regal Raptor. To this day, the Regal Raptor Bobber is the only factory-made bobber in Bangladesh. Although Bobbers around the world are mostly built by modifying other bikes, the modification constraints have kept most Bangladeshis from modifying their beloved bikes. Regal Raptor, however, has allowed its customers to get the feel of a proper Bobber by bringing the Regal Raptor Bobber.

Regal Raptor is a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer that is brought to Bangladeshis through some local importers. Regal Raptor claims itself to be one of the top Chopper manufacturers in the world. Regal Raptor is mostly known for the Regal Raptor Daytona and the Regal Raptor Spyder. Since the inception of Regal Raptor in Bangladesh, it intrigued the Bangladeshi biking culture. A unique set of motorcycles was brought to Bangladesh.

Key Features:

The Regal Raptor Bobber is the only factory ready Bobber in Bangladesh. The bike has a single-seat, with extended handlebars, and a long wheelbase. This makes the bike look very much like a custom bobber. While every customized bobber is very unstable and mostly unsafe to use, the Regal Raptor Bobber is quite stable and safe. The slanted forks at the front also make the bike quite comfortable to cruise with.

The light setup of the Regal Raptor Bobber is quite good compared to other cruisers in Bangladesh. The headlight of the bike is an HID unit with a huge reflector. The taillight and the indicators of the bike are LED units. The headlight will be enough for the highway. The taillight and the indicators will also be enough to be noticed from a distance.

The Regal Raptor Bobber instrument cluster is quite minimalistic, just like a bobber should have. The instrument cluster only has a speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meter, and other necessary indicators. The minimalistic instrument cluster is there because bikers who use Bobbers don’t care about other functions of the instrument cluster, as they are too much into enjoying the ride.

The Regal Raptor Bobber is only available in one color, as it is a unique bike. It is available in black and white. The bike also gets no decals. The bike only has a tank that can is colored, while the other panels are removed to give the bike a very clean and bobber look.

Physical Attributes:

As the Regal Raptor Bobber 150 is a cruiser, it has a low saddle-height as all Bobbers should have. With a low seat height, it also has small ground clearance as well. At this ground clearance, the bike may have difficulty getting over most speed bumps of Bangladesh. The bike also has a fuel tank of 14liters. The fuel capacity ensures that the biker won’t have to worry about fuel on long rides.

The length, width, height, and weight of the Regal Raptor Bobber 150 are 2335mm, 965mm, 1100mm, and 170kg respectively. The bike is naturally on the heavier side than most cruisers. The bike was made to conquer the highways, not the city streets, hence the weight is not to be complained about. The bike has a huge wheelbase of 1660mm just like the Regal Raptor Daytona and the Spyder, which makes sure that the bike is stable in the corners.

Engine and Transmission:

The Regal Raptor Bobber 150 comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, and 150cc engine. The engine is carbureted and liquid-cooled. The engine pumps out around 18BHP of power and 15.8Nm of torque at 6500rpm. Although the bike is carbureted, the engine is quite smooth. It is expected to have an economy of around 38kmpl combined.

The Regal Raptor Bobber 150 has a wet multi-plate clutch system. It has a 5-speed gearbox, which is suitable for cruising. The bike is expected to have a top speed of around 120kmph, which will be more than enough for cruising through the highways of Bangladesh.

Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:

The Regal Raptor Bobber 150 has a triple-disc brake setup. The front brake has a dual-disc setup, which allows the bike to brake smoothly. The front brake is expected to perform quite well, as the discs have large radii. The rear brake is also expected to perform adequately, as it has a disc. The overall brake setup of the bike is quite good and will be enough for Bangladesh.

The front of the Regal Raptor Bobber 150 has telescopic forks as the suspension and the rear is hard-tailed, which is a first for Bangladesh. The front suspension is expected to respond well as most telescopic suspensions do. The suspension setup of the bike allows it to be great at touring and long rides. This suspension is not at all for bumpy or off-roads, as the hard-tailed rear might put your spine through your skull if it faces any sudden bumps.

The Regal Raptor Bobber 150 has alloy wheels. The front and the rear wheels have 90/90 and 160/80 section tires respectively. The thick rear tires will compensate for the hard-tail. If you are to face any bumpy roads, letting a little pressure go would be great.

Target Audience:

The Regal Raptor Bobber 150 is a bike for touring lovers. The bike is for the tourers who want to tour in style. This bike would be great for the smooth roads and the long straights which will allow its riders to have comfortable long rides.
