KTM RC 250 Overview

Introduction

The KTM RC 250 is a quarter-liter range of sportbike in the KTM RC motorcycle series introduced by the renowned off-road, adventure, and sports motorcycle manufacturer, KTM. The motorcycle is a dedicated street sport machine in the KTM RC lineup that is comprehensively featured with KTM’s RC Supersport DNA and that showcases a dynamic and fully aerodynamic Supersport profile.

KTM describes their RC series as a supersport motorcycle series, therefore, RC 250 comprehensively copies the super sharp and edgy like the bigger RC machines. KTM RC 250 – Physical Attributes:

KTM RC 250 is a sharply designed and aggressive-looking sportbike produced by KTM. KTM RC 250 is an entry-level street sports machine that proudly owns KTM RC badge, which is KTM’s supersport DNA. The motorcycle features solid track racing design and ergonomics and comes with a high-performance racing-biased engine. Therefore, this new machine is also a Ready-To-Race sport machine in the KTM RC Supersport series that comes with attractive looks and appearance.

In the design, the KTM RC 250 solely carries the identical design and exterior profile that also featured in other KTM RC machines ranging from 125cc to bigger models. Therefore, RC 250 carries the nearly the same exterior layout profiled in the bigger supersport machines which is hugely adorned by the riders in the different lands. Thus, the new motorcycle also can be called as a true copy of real track racing machines.

However, KTM RC 250 showcases an eye-catching cutting-edged and super sharp design. The front assembly features an extremely sharp multi-pit LED headlamp assembly, aggressive cockpit design featuring fully digital ODO, aggressive clip-on handlebars, blade-like aerodynamic body fairing, and a sharply compact tail featuring naked and exposed fatter rear wheel. The seat is a sporty-split seat that features step-up design and that has no grab rail at the tail. 

Meanwhile, the tail is fully naked and compact that features a razor-sharp LED tail lamp underneath the tiny passenger seat. Then, a separate extension arm holds the rear turn indicators and compact registration plate hanger. Again, the rear wheel has no conventional mudguard and the fatter profile and orange-colored cast wheels remained exposed. The KTM RC 250 is a quarter-liter capacity sportbike in the KTM RC Supersport motorcycle series, and that constructed on a power-coated steel trellis frame, and has a highly rigid die-cast aluminum swingarm.  It is equipped with new-generation sporty alloy rims and tubeless type street tires, in measure of 110/70-17" at the front and 150/60-17" at the rear.

In the suspension system, the KTM RC 250 comes with a 43mm WP USD hydraulic telescopic fork suspension in the front, at the rear it features a WP monoshock suspension attached to the swingarm.


KTM RC 250 – Engine Performance & Features:

The KTM RC 250 is a premium quarter-liter capacity sportbike KTM. It is equipped with a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that has a BOSCH EFI fuel injection system and features a DOHC 4-valve system. The LC4c engine features a bore and stroke of 72.0mm X 61.100mm and the clutch system is a wet multi-plate clutch where the transmission has six-speed gears. Meanwhile, the motorcycle has an electric start system only.

In the power and performance, the KTM RC 250’s engine has been optimized for smooth power delivery, excellent performance, and efficiency in both power output and fuel economy. However, along with the latest emission compliance the engine is rated to produce a maximum power of 30.87BHP at 9,000RPM and a torque of 24.0Nm at 7,500RPM. With these specific capabilities the motorcycle can accelerate faster, gain significant top speed and ensure a decent range of fuel economy.
