Most renowned branded sports bikes are expensive. Thinking about buying those sports bikes in BD is equal to thinking about selling a kidney, or maybe both. But then came the Chinese bikes in BD. Lifan, Keeway, Haojue, Loncin, and many more offer affordable options for bike price in BD.

These Chinese brands brought bikes to the Bangladeshi Market at half the prices of their Japanese rivals. One of those Chinese sports bikes that made its way into the Bangladeshi market is the Keeway RKR 165.

Keeway bike price in Bangladesh is offered by Aftab Automobiles Limited, the conduit through which this Chinese motorcycle manufacturer connects with Bangladeshi consumers. Keeway has maintained a presence in Bangladesh for a considerable period.

The Keeway RKR 165 was initially introduced at the 5^th Dhaka Bike Show. It has since then caused extreme anticipation among bikers. And we got to test-ride the bike this year. And this is our review of the bike.

Key Features:

The Keeway RKR 165, among the best 160cc bikes in Bangladesh, comes fully faired and sports graphics. Although looking at the graphics will remind you of other Keeway RK series bikes in Bangladesh, the graphics are fairly similar. However, the bike has edgy graphics and looks less aggressive and more soothing in Bangladesh.

It comes with clip-on handlebars. Although most clip-ons result in back and wrist pain for maximum riders. But these clip-ons come with handlebar risers.

Hence, the bike may not be as comfortable as a commuter bike, and may not be as aggressive as a crotch-rocket, but floats among both worlds. This means that you can take this bike out for an occasional spin out of Dhaka City, commute inside the City, and show off your sporty bike in front of your friends.

The Keeway RKR 165 also comes with a dual headlight setup (one for low beam and one for high beam). Although both the headlights are sadly old-school halogen lights and not LEDs, they are very bright. The lights were tested on a highway and the results were satisfactory, which means the lights were just right for the highway and the city.

The Keeway RKR 165 was not inspired by any other bike, rather it was built from the ground up. And that is why the bike comes in three colors:

• Red
• White
• Black

Physical Attributes:

The Keeway RKR 165 is a tall bike. It has a seat height of 770 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. It is evident that for a short rider, it will be difficult to ride the bike. The bike is also noticeably wide. It has a width of 740 mm, which outcomes to not being able to squeeze through traffic.

The height, length, and weight of Keeway RKR 165 are 1120 mm, 2050 mm, and 153 kg respectively. The wheelbase of the bike is shorter than most bikes, being 1310 mm.

Engine and Transmission:

The Keeway RKR 165 has an EFI engine. The engine has a single-cylinder, 4 strokes, and 4 valves. The bike comes with a 164.7 cc engine and pumps out 17.8 bhp at 9500 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The bike is less torquey but quite powerful.

So even if you can't wheelie on it whenever you want, you can flabbergast your fellow rider with your speed and linear acceleration. The linear acceleration is due to the triple spark plug system. The triple spark plug allows the engine to run very smoothly.

It comes with a regular wet multi-plate clutch. The test ride has revealed that the transmission, as in the gear shifting, of the bike, is rather stiff and uncomfortable. The clutch of the bike was a bit hard as well.

Suspension, Wheels, and Brakes:

The Keeway RKR 165 one of the best bikes under 2.5 lakh in Bangladesh, comes with telescopic fork suspensions upfront and mono shock-absorbing suspension at the rear. During the test ride, it was seen that the front suspension performed significantly well during cornering, but sadly performed rather poorly on bumpy roads in Bangladesh. The rear suspension, on the other hand, performed significantly well with and without a pillion on all types of roads in Bangladesh.

It has 100/80 and 130/70 section tires for the front and rear respectively. The 130/70 section rear tires combined with the 100/80 front outperform themselves during high-speed cornering.

The brakes of the Keeway RKR 165 are a treat for its riders. The bike comes with a 260 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. But that isn't the treat, the treat is that this comes with a Combined Braking System (CBS). The CBS increases the safety of the bike during high-speed braking.

Target Audience:

The Keeway RKR 165 is for the regular office-goer who doesn't want to let go of his/her college-life personality. This bike looks smooth and appropriate for any environment, unlike most sports bikes. A person who wishes to have a well-crafted bike that comes with comfort both during city commute and highway rides, the RKR 165 is for them.

In short, the RKR 165 is a fantastic bike when considering all bike prices. It has its downs, but it has more ups. It checks most boxes for many bike lovers looking for all bike price.
