Keeway K-Light Overview

5/5

Introduction

For motorcycle enthusiasts, classic design is like a smooth ice cream. Although the biking community has been exposed mostly to café racers and cruisers, there is a larger photo that the biking community has not been familiarized with. And to do that Keeway has come with its Keeway K-Light 150 bike price in Bangladesh.

In 2019, Keeway and Aftab Automobiles Ltd introduced the Keeway K-Light, also known as the Keeway K-Light 150, at an attractive Keeway bike price in Bangladesh. Although the Keeway K-Light is being marketed as a Cruiser, it follows the design DNA of a Bobber. Regardless, the K-Light was made with the intention of cruising.

Key Features:

The Keeway K-Light 150 stands out as one of the best 150cc bikes in Bangladesh, primarily due to its stunning design. Inspired by the Bobber style, it's a rare gem in the country. Its captivating appearance features a slightly extended front fender, a lowered seat, and a long tank, making it a real head-turner reminiscent of the Harley Davidson Fat Bob.

The Keeway K-Light 150 offers a comprehensive cruiser experience. Its switch gears have been elegantly designed with a cruiser touch, ensuring a comfortable ride. The plush seat, designed for comfort, is generously extended to accommodate a pillion rider. Additionally, the bike features extended foot pads designed to enhance ergonomic comfort.

The Keeway K-Light 150 comes in four different colors.

1) Black.
2) Blue.
3) Red.
4) Silver.

There are two variants of the bike, Matt and Gloss. The Matt version only comes in Black and Silver. The Gloss version comes in Red and Blue. All of them only have the colors on the tanks and the rest of the bike is black for all.

Physical Attributes:

As mentioned before, this Keeway K-Light 150 was made to be comfortable. The bike has a very low seat height, like every cruiser, at 715mm. But the low seat height also comes with stretched foot-pegs, which means, a tall person will not feel very uncomfortable with short seat. The bike is thin and easy to latch on to, so flicking the bike over from one side to another is easy.

The height, width, length, and weight of the Keeway K-Light 150 are 1050mm, 800mm, 2140mm, and 156kg. The bike is fairly heavy, so fair warning to new riders. And the bike has a very large wheelbase of about 1440 mm, which is there to compensate for the design factor and good balance as well.

Engine and Transmission:

The Keeway K-Light 150 comes with a cruising dedicated engine. The engine has 4-strokes, 2-valves, a single-cylinder, and 149.4cc. The engine is tuned to give 11.2BHP of power at 8500rpm and 10Nm of torque at 7500rpm. The engine uses a carburetor fuel feeding system and hence a mileage of 40kmpl is expected from it.

It comes with a wet multi-plate clutch. It comes to a 5-speed gearbox. The gear shifter is also stretched to the front for cruising comfort. The power delivery over the gears is expected to be linear and smooth as well.

Brakes, Suspension, and Wheels:

The Keeway K-Light 150 features a comprehensive disc brake system, comprising a substantial 280mm disc in the front and a slightly smaller 240mm disc in the rear. Despite the rear disc being smaller than the front, it still exceeds the size of many discs found on other motorcycles. This configuration ensures that the rear brake provides commendable feedback and performance, especially during emergency braking situations.

For its front suspension, the bike is equipped with telescopic forks, which are well-suited for comfortable cruising. Meanwhile, the rear suspension consists of two gas-filled spring-loaded forks. It's worth noting that the rear suspension offers a limited travel distance of just 53mm, which could lead to discomfort for a heavy pillion passenger. However, the positive aspect is that the rear shock absorbers are adjustable, allowing for customization to suit different riding conditions and passenger weights.

It comes with 90/17 and 130/15 sectioned tires. The rear tire being fat and thick, the bike is expected to be quite stable and good at cornering. The bike also has alloy wheels, unlike most cruisers which use spoke wheels, which is a plus point.

Target Audience:

The Keeway K-Light 150 is not for a speed freak, but rather it was made to cruise at 60-70kmph and to enjoy the ride. Nor is this bike made for the daily commuter, who uses the bike to commute to the office and back. The Keeway K-Light 150 is for the rider who wishes to enjoy the environment while riding through it, making it a unique choice among all bike price.

In short, the Keeway K-Light 150 is a fantastic bike to cruise on and to enjoy the ride. Keeway has done a fantastic job of building a good cruising bike.
