Keeway K Blade 125 Overview

5/5

I use it daily for office, no big problems yet.

Introduction

When discussing scooters, we often reminisce about the classic Vespas our grandfathers rode or the Indian scooters marketed as "Female bikes." However, scooters have evolved significantly over time, now rivaling traditional motorcycles in power. The Keeway K Blade 125 exemplifies this shift in scooter capabilities with its impressive performance and bike price in BD.

The Keeway K Blade 125 is a 125cc scooter. The scooter was produced in such a way that it can put most 125cc bikes to shame. It is a powerful scooter that was introduced by Keeway Bangladesh and is presently being marketed by Aftab Automobiles Ltd.

Key Features:

The first thing that you notice about the Keeway K Blade 125 is the headlights. There is a saying, “Looks that kill”. The headlight design is a practical example of the saying. The looks of the scooter are very much enhanced by the headlight design. The indicators are no different. The scooter comes with a full LED setup. This means, that regardless of where or when you ride, visual would not be a problem.

The second factor of the design is the overall aesthetics of the Keeway K Blade 125. It looks nothing like a typical scooter. It is edgy, sporty, and aerodynamic, all while maintaining the necessary comforts of a scooter. It also has a muffler design which puts the TVS Apache RTR 4V to shame.

The Keeway K Blade 125 comes in extremely attractive colors. They are:

  • Matte Blue.
  • Matte Black.
  • Glossy Red.

The matte black color comes with a hint of green to increase the aesthetic design of the scooter.

Physical Attributes:

The Keeway K Blade 125 has a low saddle height of 750mm. This height majorly supports people under 5’10” and may become a bit uncomfortable for people taller than that, due to the small leg-rest area. The scooter also has an exceptionally small tank of only 4.9 liters of fuel storage capacity. This renders the scooter unsuitable for long rides.

The length, width, height, and weight of the Keeway K Blade 125 are 1820mm, 700mm, 1060, and 97kg respectively. The scooter is not as heavy as its competitors, which makes it easier to control than most scooters. It also has a fairly average wheelbase, of 1280mm, which is good for handling and turning.

Engine and Transmission:

The Keeway K Blade 125 comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, and 124cc carburetor engine. The engine is air-cooled. The engine pumps out around 8.4BHP of power at 7500rpm and 9.2Nm of torque at 6000rpm. The scooter is quite powerful, yet, the fuel efficiency is still top-notch at about 50kmpl. The scooter is expected to reach a top speed of around 90 mph.

It comes with a fully automated gear system. The gear shift is not necessary and the clutch lever is replaced with a rear-wheel brake. The scooter is fully controlled by hand.

Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:

The Keeway K Blade 125 comes with a disc-drum setup. The front wheel gets a disc brake. The disc brake increases the braking performance of the scooter significantly. The rear brake being drum is not the best but is enough for a scooter of this power. The front brake being a disc might become the primary brake for most riders.

It has telescopic forks at the front and the rear is a mono coil-spring oil-damped suspension. The front suspension may not be the best, as it has a stroke of 55mm, which makes it highly vulnerable to bumps. The rear suspension may provide ample response as it has an 82mm stroke, hence a pillion will be comfortable on the scooter.

The K Blade 125 comes with alloy wheels. The front and rear wheels receive 80/80 and 100/90 tires respectively. The tires may be good for moderate-speed maneuvers, as during emergency braking while riding at high speeds may cause the tires to skid on roads.

Target Audience:

As previously mentioned, the Keeway K Blade 125 is not the most suitable scooter for highway rides. It is a great scooter for youngsters, who only want a scooter for commuting. Regular rides to university or around town will be fun and easy with this scooter.

Overall, the Keeway K Blade 125 offers a sporty and dependable option in the all bike price range. It excels in potentially outperforming competitors in both the scooter and bike categories. This scooter effectively fulfills its intended functions and truly embodies the essence of scooters. The decision of whether to invest in a Keeway K Blade 125 should ultimately be yours to make.
