Honda PCX160 – Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System:

Honda PCX160 is an underbone-frame-based scooter that features a backbone rib at the rider footrest and accordingly, it has a wider footrest for the rider besides the on-bone rib. The scooter holds the motor attached to the left swingarm beside the rear wheel. Here the wheels of the scooter are featured with wider and fatter profile street tires. The wheels are fitted with sporty alloy rims and tubeless type tires in measure of 110/70-14 in the front and 130/70-13 at the rear.

In the braking system, both wheels of the scooter are fitted with hydraulic disc brakes and it also features single-channel ABS safety enhancement. In the suspension system, it features hydraulic telescopic fork suspension in the front, and at the rear, it has a spring-loaded twin shock absorber attached to the swingarm. Honda PCX160 is a gorgeous-looking luxury scooter that holds a decently powerful engine. It’s a 157cc 80º single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine featuring a bore & stroke of 60.0mm x 55.5mm and a compression ratio of 12:0.1. It features SOHC 4-valve and Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system with 28mm throttle body. 

Here the ignition system is Ful transistorized and the engine start is featured with (ACG Starter) electric start system. However, the clutch and transmission of the scooter are fully automatic featuring a V-Matic belt drive. Hence there is no hassle to operate the manual clutch or the gears.

The Honda PCX160 engine is a decently powerful engine that is better tuned for highway rides, therefore, long travels. Hence the engine is refined and tweaked for better power delivery as well as efficient fuel economy. Consequently, the Honda PCX160 engine is tuned to deliver the maximum power of 115.58 Bhp at 8,500RPM and a torque of 15NM@6,500RPM. Thus, featuring better aerodynamics, the scooter can perform superbly on long highway rides.
