Introduction

Honda CB200X is an all-new adventure sports motorcycle in the Honda motorcycle lineup that recently introduced in this South Asian region. It’s an affordable release in the entry-level ADV motorcycle segment in this market by Honda Two-wheelers India. The motorcycle has developed under the shadow of the Honda CB Hornet 2.0 model but features adventure ergonomics and has released both machines simultaneously in this market. 

However, belonging to the ADV, therefore, adventure sports category this model holds Honda’s dedicated CBX, therefore, street adventure DNA. The motorcycle comes with a decently powerful 185cc engine that is efficient both in power delivery and ensuring fuel economy and features a bunch of technical enhancements. Therefore, the Honda CB200X is extensively featured to be a nice street touring machine that comes with both city commuting and highway cruising elements.


Honda CB200X – Physical Attributes:

Adventure motorcycling and traveling these days is a very popular trend and that also getting popular in developing countries in the world. Supporting this adventure-touring hype, many companies are showcasing entry-level adventure motorcycles in their product line. Consequently, Honda has developed and released the new CB200X as an adoptable solution to effectively address the trend.

However, the new Honda CB200X is a beginner-class ADV very recently introduced in the Honda motorcycle lineup that comes with dedicated street traveling ergonomics. The motorcycle comes with a delighted appearance and dedicated features as it is designed to be a true street touring machine. In the first looks, it nicely stands as a street ADV but it extensively shares most of the body elements from the Hornet 2.0 model.

However, the new Honda CB200X comes packed with tight muscles on its entire exterior. It is much puffed, curvy as well as sharp in entire body panels. The core attraction of the motorcycle starts from its front end where the multi-pit LED headlamp glitters with its sharp presence featuring a taller windshield at the top. The assembly is integrated with body fairing and nicely interconnects with the muscled fuel tank.

After the windshield, the cockpit features a fully digital ODO that comes with a refreshed design and displays an extensive range of parameters. The handlebar is an upright positioned pipe handlebar that holds an extensive range of control switches on both sides. The handlebar impressively features an integrated knuckle guard setup that nicely features LED turn indicators on the knuckle covers on both sides.

Next, the fuel tank is another attractive part of the motorcycle that comes with a sharp and edgy design on its multi-layer muscles. It also holds an ignition key pit on the front side. Here, the seat is a sporty split step-up seat that comes with double horn grabrail support at the tail. The tail also features a panel-mounted LED tail lamp that comes with eye-catchy X-shaped design.

In the rests, the motorcycle features a compact tail featuring a registration plate hanger and rear turn indicators on the rear wheel mudguard. The side panels are also sharply designed and much more compact that also same on the bikini engine underbelly pan. Lastly, it is featured with a semi-raised upswept exhaust muffler that is somewhat swapped from the bigger CBX model. Thus, along with a sporty wheel setup, the motorcycle nicely represents a tough appearance that is decent and gorgeous no doubt.


Honda CB200X – Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System:

In the frame, wheel, brake, & suspension system, the new Honda CB200X features a dedicated street adventure setup. The frame is a steel-tube diamond frame and the wheels are street-biased 17” wheels that feature 10-spoke alloy rims and tubeless type street tires. Here, the front wheel features a 110/70-17 size tire and the rear wheel comes with a 140/70-17 size tire.

In the braking system, it is equipped with the hydraulic disk braking system in it’s both wheels. The braking system is enhanced with a single-channel ABS safety feature. Coming to the suspension system, the motorcycle comes with a USD hydraulic telescopic fork suspension in the front, and at the rear, it's a linked mono suspension system. Hence both the suspension setups feature longer travel characteristics and the rear setup is a few steps preload adjustable.


Honda CB200X – Engine Performance & Features:

The new Honda CB200X is an entry-level street adventure motorcycle that comes with a decently powerful fuel-efficient engine. The engine is an 184.4cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, OHC 2-valve, air-cooled engine that features a bore & stroke of 61.0m x 63.096mm. The engine cylinder is featured with a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and its fuel feeding system is a PGM-FI system.

The Honda CB200X engine comes with a multi-plate wet type clutch system that is assist and slipper clutch and it comes with a 5-speed gear transmission in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5-6. Next, the engine starting features an electric start system only. 

Coming to the performance figure, the engine is tweaked for better street riding performances ensuring decent power delivery and better fuel economy. The engine is rated to deliver the maximum power of 17BHP (12.7kW) at 8,500RPM and a torque of 16.1 Nm at 6,000RPM. Therefore, along with this performance figures the motorcycle can perform well in most street rides.

The new Honda CB200X is a street adventure category motorcycle that is designed purposefully for on-road adventures. The motorcycle comes with an aggressive and sporty design, features completely upright adventure riding ergonomics and is enhanced with some attractive technical features. Thus, the motorcycle made more usable and considerable for comfortable commuting and road adventures. 

Besides, it also comes with a decently performing engine and is fitted with a capable range of wheel, brake, and suspension setup. Therefore, the motorcycle is extensively featured for motorcycle tourers and travelers who love to travel and have adventures with motorcycles. Side-by-side it is also a convenient option for frequent everyday rides.
