Introduction

The Hero Xpulse 200 is a unique type of dual-sport motorcycle to the Hero Xpulse motorcycle lineup. Hero MotoCorp was released the Hero Xpulse 200 as an iconic part of their Xpulse motorcycle series. It's a dual-terrain commuter that is specially designed with old-school-inspired design and styling. With unique riding ergonomics, the motorcycle is purposefully featured to offer comfortable commuting on both on-road and off-road ensuring higher engine performance and a competent range of fuel economy. 

It is a dedicated dual-terrain machine in the Hero Xpulse motorcycle series that features a number of off-road-biased riding and controlling features. The motorcycle comes with a powerful 200cc single-cylinder engine supported by an electronic fuel injection system. The motorcycle also features a capable range of dual-terrain biased wheel, brake, and suspension systems that make the motorcycle a capable machine both on and off-road. Moreover, with old-school styling, this machine attractively draws the attention of the crowd.


Hero Xpulse 200 – Physical Attributes:

The Hero Xpulse 200 is a uniquely designed retro-neo-styled dual-terrain commuter motorcycle in the Hero Xpulse motorcycle series. The Xpulse motorcycles are known for their exceptional design and styling and sporty riding ergonomics. The motorcycle is manufactured by Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the renowned motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in India. The Hero Xpulse 200 is an all-terrain addition to this motorcycle lineup that is enhanced with old-school design elements and comes with an extensive range of off-road riding features.

In the design, the new Xpulse 200 adopted almost the same exterior profile that is featured in other Xpulse models. As a dual-sport model, the Xpulse 200 features dual-terrain riding ergonomics beholding a naked body profile, all upright riding ergonomics, and a bit off-road-biased wheel and suspension systems. However, the motorcycle shares the same body design which is also featured in the other existing models in the Xpulse motorcycle series.

Being a dual-sport motorcycle, at first look, the Xpulse 200 catches attention with its multi-pit LED headlamp assembly beholding a large windshield on the top and the high-raised front wheel fender. Here, the headlamp is all-LED fitted and features integrated LED DRLs. Above the headlamp, a fully digital ODO cluster is mounted after the transparent windshield. The ODO displays an extensive range of parameters. 

Next, the single-piece and wider pipe handlebar comes with necessary control switch arrangements, that support the motorcycle's overall control and functionality. Here, the fuel tank retains the same unit that is featured throughout the Xpulse series. Over a rounded-oval design, it received multiple dents, and similarly the graphics scheme also kept matched till the compact side panels. Then, the seat comes with a single-piece design that is straight but sporty in appearance. 

At the tail, Hero Xpulse 200  has an integrated grabrail has been added at the end of the passenger seat, while the tail section holds an extended rear wheel mudguard featuring a registration plate hanger and rear turn indicators. In the sequence, as a dual-sport motorcycle, it features a beefy exhaust muffler aligned in a higher position beside the rear sub-frame featuring a unique design. However, along with larger wired-spoke wheels and a longer travel suspension setup, the motorcycle gorgeously showcases its capabilities to chase hard any terrain in our daily rides.


Hero Xpulse 200 – Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System

The new Hero Xpulse 200 is an old-school-styled off-road biased bike that is equipped with a tubular diamond frame that is consistent across the entire Xpulse motorcycle lineup. Being a dual-terrain model the Xpulse 200 features a very decent configuration of the wheel, brake, and suspension system. In the wheels, it is fitted with conventional wired-spoke steel rims along with tube-type dual-sport tires in measure of 90/90-21 size tire in the front and 120/80-18 tire in the rear.

In the braking system, the Hero Xpulse 200 features hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels and the front braking system is augmented by a single-channel ABS for enhanced braking safety. The suspension system of the motorcycle comes with comparatively a longer travel suspension setup. The motorcycle is fitted with a 37mm upright telescopic fork suspension at the front that features a 190mm stroke. At the rear, it incorporates a 10-step adjustable mono-shock absorber connected to the swingarm hinge.


Hero Xpulse 200 – Engine Performance & Features:

The Hero Xpulse 200 is a dedicated and feature-packed dual-terrain commuter motorcycle. The motorcycle is equipped with an updated 199.6cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-oil-cooled engine. This engine features an OHC 2-valve system and fuel feeding is equipped with an electronic fuel injection system instead of an old carburetor fuel feeding system. Here, the compression ratio is 10.0:1.

The engine is fitted with a manual multi-plate wet clutch system and a 5-speed gear transmission with the pattern 1-N-2-3-4-5. The motorcycle starts using both Kickstarter and electric start systems. In terms of power and performance, the Hero Xpulse 200 engine has been optimized to deliver a decent range of power and torque figures and also provide improved fuel economy. The engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 17.8 BHP at 8,500RPM and a torque of 16.45Nm at 6,500RPM.
