VERDICT
Bennett 150 is a sportbike. In a country where people have to sell kidneys to buy sportbikes, a company brought a sportbike for under 3 lacs. The sportbike culture in Bangladesh is huge. When Japanese companies are bringing motorcycles at extreme prices, Chinese companies came to save the day. Companies such as Lifan and Taro have brought premium motorcycles at reasonable prices. Taro has brought full-fledged sportbikes in the Taro GP series, which has blown everyone’s minds away.
Bennett is a motorcycle manufacturer which is operating in Bangladesh through independent distributors. The motorcycle brand’s name is not shouted out like those of the popular Japanese brands, rather they are whispered. The bike is not as popular as it should be but does have a name for itself.
Key Features:
The Bennett 150 is a sportbike with full fairing and clip-ons and all the shenanigans needed for a sportbike. The bike is made with clip-ons and a split seat. The front of the bike gets an extended windscreen which allows wind to be diverted above the bike. The Bennett 150 also has a loud exhaust sound.
The Bennett 150 has a full Halogen headlight setup. The Halogen headlights limits the rider to have a good view of the highway at night. With halogen headlights, the bike also has LED taillights, which are situated on the borders of the back. The indicators of the bike are also bulb, which gives this bike a very minimalistic look.

The Bennett 150 has a very informative instrument cluster. The instrument cluster is fully digital. The instrument cluster shows speed, odo, trip, RPM count, time, fuel amount, and other necessary indicators. The instrument cluster is everything a rider needs and more.
Physical Attributes:
The Bennett 150 comes with a very big physical appearance. The clip-ons of the bike are slightly raised, which allows the rider to comfortably ride the bike for long periods without getting tired or back-pain. The bike has a saddle height which will suitable for riders above the height of 5’3”. The ground clearance of the bike is around 170mm, which allows the rider to conquer most of the speedbumps of Bangladesh. The bike also has a fuel capacity of 14liters, which is great for long rides out of town.
The length, width, height, and weight of the Bennett 150 are 2000mm, 690mm, 1075mm, and 139kg respectively. The bike looks a lot like a typical sports bike. The wheelbase of the bike is unknown, but it can be expected to be around 1300-1400mm. The bike is quite heavy, which makes it stable enough at high speeds.
Engine and Transmission:
The Bennett 150 comes with a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, and 149.4cc engine. The engine is air-cooled and is fitted with a carburetor. The engine pumps out a staggering 19HP of power and 17.3Nm torque at 5500rpm. The power and torque figure are quite high, which makes it quite fast on the road. The bike is expected to have a fuel consumption of about 30-35kmpl.
The Bennett 150 has a basic wet multi-plate clutch system. The Bennett 150 has a 6-speed gearbox, and the bike has an approximate top speed of about 130kmph.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
Bennett 150 has a very average braking system, considering the price. The front and rear brakes of the bike are both discs. The brakes are expected to be quite good. However, the brakes could have been better if it had an ABS or CBS system, which would have made it much better at braking.
The Bennett 150 comes with telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The front has telescopic forks that are not upside-down forks and does not come with adjustability settings either. The rear mono-shock won’t be very comfortable for a pillion, but for the rider at corners, it will be highly useful.
The Bennett 150 has alloy wheels. The front and the rear have a combination of 110/70 and 130/70 tires respectively. The tire combination is quite good. It also is quite suitable for leaning at the corners and for good braking.
Target Audience:
The Bennett 150 is not for beginners. It is a very powerful bike and should be for the veterans. This bike is for the people who are thinking to upgrade to a higher capacity bike after properly learning the ropes of motorcycling. This bike is also for the people who want to buy a sports bike but does not have deep pockets to burn through.
Competitors:
Bennett 150 has very few competitors in its segment.
Lifan KPR 150.
Aprilia GPR 150.
Taro GP 1.
