This engine features two valves and utilizes fuel injection for enhanced performance. The motorcycle is equipped with a manual multi-plate wet clutch system and a 5-speed transmission with gears arranged in the pattern of 1-N-2-3-4-5. It starts using an electric ignition system.
Despite being a two-decade-old machine, the Bajaj Pulsar 180 retains the same engine, albeit with multiple tweaks and refinements. The engine now complies with the BS-IV emission standards, providing a good balance between power, torque, and optimized fuel efficiency. It is capable of delivering a maximum power of 16.8BHP at 8,500RPM and a torque of 14.52Nm at 6,500RPM. With these specifications, the motorcycle can achieve a top speed of over 110kmph while also ensuring respectable fuel economy.
