Aprilia Tuono 125 Overview:
The Aprilia Tuono 125 is a half-faired sportbike. These half-faired/half-naked bikes are the jack of all trades, but the king of none. The Tuono 125 is a great bike for touring and commuting as it gets comfortable ergonomics and a sporty engine but is not the best in any of the two segments. The Aprilia Tuono 125 had a very forgettable performance in the Bangladeshi market, which happened mostly because the public could not understand the purpose of the bike. The Tuono was made for touring and commuting.
Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer that markets in Bangladesh through Runner Automobiles Limited. Over the years, Runner has brought many motorcycles to Bangladesh. Some of these motorcycles did good, some of them did average, and some of them did terribly. Tuono was unfortunately the last one. The Aprilia Tuono 125 didn’t receive any form of popularity due to the confusion among the general public.

The Aprilia Tuono 125 is a sport touring and commuting half-faired motorcycle. Now that is a very big segment to put it inside. In simple words, you can tour and commute on a bike. Unlike the Lifan KPT 150, which is a complete touring and ADV motorcycle, which has a huge body with a lot of touring and off-roading features. These features made the KPT commuting resistant. However, the Tuono has a nimbler physical characteristic. These characteristics allow the Tuono to be more approachable. The Aprilia Tuono 125 has a half-faired body with upright pipe handlebars.
The Aprilia Tuono 125 comes in two colors internationally. They are:
- Red Hero.
- Dark Warrior.
The decals of both of the bikes are very different from each other. Although the color schemes of both of the variants are similar, the different decals allow the bikes to seem very much different from each other.
The Aprilia Tuono 125 comes with a quick-shifter and ABS. The quick-shifter allows the rider to shift gears without engaging the clutch. The quick-shifter allows the bike to smoothly shift gear without any hassle for the rider. The bike also gets an ABS. The ABS allows the biker to smoothly and easily brake without skidding. This allows the rider to confidently and safely brake.
Physical Attributes:
The Aprilia Tuono 125 is a large bike. But it has a seat height of 810mm, which is suitable for riders above 5’5”, but the riders below that height might find it a bit difficult to ride on. The bike also has a ground clearance of 150mm, which is very suitable for Bangladesh. It also has a tank of 14.5liters, which ensures that the rider doesn’t run out of fuel very often in long rides.

The Aprilia Tuono 125 comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, and 124cc engine. The engine is fuel injected and liquid-cooled. The engine pumps out around 14.8BHP of power at 8000rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6500rpm. Due to the fuel injection, the bike is expected to be quite efficient. It is expected to have an economy of around 42kmpl combined.
The Aprilia Tuono 125 has a wet multi-plate clutch system. It has a 6-speed quick-shifting gearbox, which is unique for a 125cc motorcycle. The bike is expected to have a top speed of around 125-130kmph.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The Aprilia Tuono 125 has a dual disc brake setup. The front disc is 300mm and the rear disc is 218mm. The front disc is also connected with ABS (Anti-lock braking system). This means, during times of emergency braking, the front wheel will not lock.
The Aprilia Tuono 125 has upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The front USD forks are great for cornering but are not very suitable for bumpy roads. The rear mono-shock is good enough for Bangladesh.

The bike is very suitable for young riders. But this bike is not for beginners, as this is filled with power and is also very heavy. The bike is also suitable for long tourers who will enjoy touring with this bike.

The Tuono 125 is a good motorcycle that could have done well in Bangladesh if people had proper information and if the motorcycle was a bit cheaper. Overall the Aprilia Tuono 125 is a great bike for commuting and touring.
