Yamaha FZ 250 – Design
The Yamaha FZ 250 is a mixture of commuter and naked sports bike designs. The muscular shape of the fuel tank paired with a unibrow bi-functional LED headlight gives the bike an aggressive look. Despite having a split seat, the Yamaha FZ 250 offers a comfortable and relaxed ride for both the rider and the pillion.
According to Yamaha Motors' website, the bike's design focuses the forward mass downforce and layout, which enhances the riding experience, and the overall design language is inspired by the muscles of a sports athletes.

The Yamaha FZ 250 is equipped with a BS-VI compliant fuel-injected (FI) air-cooled single-cylinder, SOHC 249cc, 2-valve, 4-stroke engine that produces a maximum power of 20.8 horsepower at 8000 RPM and a torque of 20.1 Nm at 6000 RPM.
The bike features a wet multi-plate disc clutch and a 5-speed gearbox, offering smooth and quick responses in every gear. The engine oil capacity is 1.55 liters, which is slightly less compared to other bikes in this segment. The top speed of the bike can reach 130-135 km/h.

Seat Height, Weight, and Ground Clearance: The bike has a seat height of 1105 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. Despite having a curb weight of 152 kg, the bike's weight balance is excellent.
Ignition System: The bike comes with a self-electric ignition system.
Digital Instrument Cluster: The fully digital instrument cluster is similar one found on the FZ-S 150 v3. It includes a fuel level indicator, multiple trip meters, speedometer, tachometer, service indicator, ABS indicator, clock, etc.
Tubeless Tires: The bike comes with tubeless radial tires from Ceat and MRF. Front tire size of 100/80-17 and rear tire size of 140/70-17. Tubeless tires reduce the risk of punctures or leaks.
Brakes: The Yamaha FZ 250 is equipped with 282 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes. The brakes are dual-channel ABS with a 2-pot caliper version. Although Yamaha and the FZ series are already known for their excellent braking performance, the brakes have been also upgraded for higher CC.
Suspension System: The bike features a telescopic fork in the front and a multi-adjustable monoshock absorber in the rear for ensuring a smooth ride.
Mileage: With a fuel capacity of 14 liters, the bike can provide a mileage of 40-45 km per liter. Considering the higher CC, this mileage is impressive compared to other bikes in the segment. But the mileage may vary depending on fuel quality and riding style.
Good and Bad side of the Yamaha FZ 250

On the other hand, the bike is not as powerful as the other bikes in this segment. This may affect in confidence while need of initial response and overtaking. Also, the bike lacks some modern features and app connectivity found in other bikes in the segment. The bike could be much better if it has oil-cooled or liquid-cooled technology considering the higher CC and international market value.
