I, Rafsan Khan Tuhin, live in Manikganj. The TVS Apache RTR 150 DD is the first bike of my life. I have been riding this bike for about 42,000 kilometers. Here I will share my experiences with my bike.
TVS Apache RTR 150 DD 42000KM Riding Experience
I love two-wheelers. I had a bicycle as a child. I used to ride this bicycle here & there. When I used to see my older brothers riding bikes, I had a wish in my mind that maybe one day I will have a bike when I grow up.
I first learned to ride a bike in 2013 from my maternal uncle. And the learning was with the mighty Honda CD80. My interest in bikes grew even further after learning. Finally, on January 9th, 2016 I bought the Apache RTR 150 DD bike from Ishan Motors in Manikganj.
At that time the price of the bike was 2 lakh 18 thousand 990BDT. The day I bought the bike was one of the happiest days of my life. On that day I was accompanied by my maternal uncle and my mother. I bought the bike and rode home with my mother for the first time. That was one of the best moments of my life which I cannot express in words.
The first reason behind buying the bike was its looks. I always liked the looks of the Apache RTR series. Also, I like the fact that it has a top speed recorder in its instrument cluster.
The seating position and handlebars of the bike are sportier than other bikes. Since buying the new bike, I have serviced from the TVS service point to 15,000 kilometers. Of these, eight were free services. I maintained the break-in period for the first 2,000 kilometers of my bike. At that time, I was getting mileage of 36 to 40 kilometers per liter.
After the break-in period, I started to get a mileage of about 43 to 45 kilometers per liter which is very satisfactory for me. I always put the importance of my bike's maintenance above all. This is because if you want to get good performance, you have to maintain it properly.

Such as changing the engine oil according to time, giving gear oil to the chain, keeping proper air in the tires, washing the bike occasionally, etc. I have used the Motul 5100 10W30 Semi-Synthetic from the beginning as engine Oil. The price is 750BDT. I have changed some parts of my Apache RTR 150 DD over 42 thousand kilometers. E.g.-
- Chain sprockets twice.
- Headlights.
- Rear and front wheel brake pads twice.
- Rear tires.
I modified the mudguard to make the bike slightly stylish after 35,000 kilometers. Besides that, I have not made any modifications. The top speed of my bike, that I got, was 124 kilometers per hour with a Pillion on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway.

We all bikers are brothers. So, my request to everyone is not to compete with each other on any issue. I have made many good friends and brothers in my life through biking. I consider myself very lucky for this. I hope to spend more time with my Apache RTR 150 DD and to ride further with my bike.
