Motorcycling Trend In Bangladesh
Last updated on 04-Aug-2024 , By Saleh
In Bangladesh motorcycle is a very popular medium of commuting even for long decades. But awkwardly our motorcycling culture is somewhat stuck in a narrower circle that our riders are unreasonably glued with a very specific category of motorcycles. Most commonly the majority of the riders are habituated to riding the commuter category of motorcycles and then the elite class is quite blindly hooked on the sports segment. Even beholding different riding tastes most of the riders are dying on the sports category of motorcycles.
Whereas only a rare number of motorcyclists who are keenly known of their riding taste and purposes are owning other categories of motorcycles like cruisers, scooters, pocket bikes, dirt bikes, or dual-sports motorcycles. Accordingly, most motorcycle riders are literally untutored of the diverse features and utilities of those categories of motorcycles. So here we have an exclusive feed on “Motorcycling Trend In Bangladesh”, let’s head into the discussion.
Motorcycling Trend In Bangladesh (Details)
You know globally the majority of motorcycle riders are commuting-oriented and that is also the same in Bangladesh. They commonly ride in the necessity of daily life activities. Thus most of the riders here own and ride commuter category of motorcycles as well as scooters. Purposefully, the commuter category of motorcycles and scooters is designed street-focused and featured for street riding. Whereas on countryside roads those motorcycles struggle much as the road condition is not even everywhere in Bangladesh, hence they can’t do but compromise.
On the other side, in the urban lifestyle motorcycle enthusiasts are freaks of styling and show-off and often they don’t bother for comfort in riding or commuting. Thus even beholding different riding styles or purposes they are just freaks of the aggressive-looked sports category of motorcycles. Hence, fully faired sportbikes and naked streetfighter motorcycles get priority there where some riders own cruisers, street-ADVs, or maxi-scooters. Resulting, even enthusiastic motor travelers are also unthoughtfully habituated to traveling with sportbikes.
Sequentially in such a state, adventure motorcycles and dual-sport motorcycles are quite unfamiliar categories of motorcycles here in Bangladesh and our riders are not much aware of the features and facilities of those motorcycles. But the fact is that duel-sport and ADV motorcycles are the most eligible and capable category of motorcycles globally that actually can be ridden almost anywhere whether on-roads or off-roads. Thus, dual-sport and ADV motorcycles could be the better solution here considering our road conditions.
Again another category of motorcycles is absolutely remaining under the shadow in Bangladesh that is trail bikes or trail-oriented dirt bikes. Dirt bikes are quite stranger in our motorcycling culture even in that modern motorcycling age. People often mix up trail bikes or dirt bikes with adventure or dual-sport bikes in Bangladesh. Thus, dirt biking or trail biking is absolutely absent here though many riders love to ride on off-roads or on the countryside trails.
Lastly, pocket bikes or mini bikes are another neglected and absolutely out of the focused category of motorcycles in Bangladesh. Most people literally don’t know what a pocket bike is, what its purposes are, and how pocket bikes can be a nice commuting solution for young riders. Further, learning and motorsport are also related to pocket bikes that also a globally practiced culture. But here for some unknown reason, pocked bikes remained out of the stream. So that’s the overall glimpse of motorcycling trend in Bangladesh.
