Hero Splendor iSmart Plus - New Smart Commuter In Bangladesh

When it comes to commuter motorcycle, Hero in one of the leaders in the 100-110 segment (Source). A month back they have launched a new motorcycle, Hero Splendor iSmart Plus. Today, we are going to discuss all the features and details of this smart commuter in Bangladesh.

Hero Splendor iSmart Plus was first displayed in Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2019 along with another two commuter bikes from Hero. And later in April, Hero Motorcycles launched the Hero Splendor iSmart plus in Bangladesh. This is the third bike which had the iSmart name tagged along in the Splendor series. The first iSmart was a 100cc bike and the second one, the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 was the updated replacement of the 100cc bike. And now, the latest Hero Splendor iSmart Plus is the modern day iSmart option from Hero.

The bike has a moderately similar look to the old Splendor iSmart 110 , but updated in the overall design. It has a sleek fuel tank along with with simple headlight, and dual tone graphics with branding. The speedometer is analog, so are the fuel gauge but it has a digital odometer. It has an upright handlebar and a long seat for comfortable riding and really stylish split grab rail for pillion comfort. It has a full-sized chain cover for protection from dust and mud, and also safety purpose.This bike has the new i3s technology from Hero, which ensures less fuel usage in every day commuting and allows the rider to spend less on fuel. Hero Splendor iSmart Plus is a 110cc motorcycle, which has a vertical engine cylinder rather than the horizontal setup from previous hero motorcycles. It's 110cc four strokes OHC engine is air cooled. And it has a 10:1 compression ratio. This high compression ratio allows the engine to produce more torque. The engine produces 8.9 BHP of power and 9 NM of torque.

The clutch and the gearbox are standard like any other commuter motorcycle. The power is delivered through a 4-speed manual transmission and the clutch is wet type multi-plate clutch. The entire motorcycle is built over the tubular double cradle type frame which has been a standard in Hero 100-110cc motorcycles for a long time.The Bike is pretty simple yet full of features. The suspension setup is pretty standard, as it has a telescopic fork at the front and adjustable swingarm suspension at the back. The wheels are standard alloy wheels with 80 section tubeless tyres on both the wheels. There are 130 mm drum brakes on both the front and back wheel. This bike has a halogen headlight, which is AHO enabled for better visibility and safety purpose. It also has a 12V-3Ah maintenance free battery so it gives out hassle-free performance.As a commuter, this bike has a wonderful ground clearance of 165 mm which means it can easily ride over simple obstacles, and also gain an advantage in off-road. The fuel tank has a capacity of 8.5 liters which is on the average side, and the 116 kilograms of curb weight means this bike is really light and nimbler than many of its class and will ensure better mileage and relatively faster acceleration.The bike has a price tag of 1,01,990 BDT, and this is one of the most competitive price tags in the 110cc segment. This bike offers a lot of features in this price range, and this is an excellent bike for commuters.
