BHL started its commercial production on November 1, 2013. Initially, BHL started its business operation with the support of two dedicated dealer houses and service centers in Tangail & Jamalpur. 

In support of two dealer houses, BHL started selling Honda motorcycles and scooters in December 2013. At that time Honda started with showcasing five different models of motorcycles and a model of a scooter in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Honda Private Limited therefore BHL started its business operation initially sourcing its products from nearest countries and manufacturing plants like India, Vietnam, etc. they designed its product line bringing various motorcycle and scooter models both in CBU and CKD conditions.

Therefore initially BHL was facilitated with limited assembly facilities and later they increased the facility to bring motorcycles in CKD mode rather than the CBU. Accordingly, BHL achieved the initial stage status of local motorcycle manufacturer and availed import tax rebates under Bangladesh Government regulations.

Resulting Bangladesh Honda could keep lower prices for their motorcycles and scooters from the very beginning. Hence currently BHL is the complete local manufacturer as they have a fully facilitated manufacturing plant in Bangladesh located in Abdul Monem Economic Zone, Char Baushia, Gazaria, Munshiganj, Bangladesh.

Hence, most of the Honda motorcycles and scooters displayed in Bangladesh are currently manufactured and assembled in Bangladesh. Only a few new models and some premium motorcycle models are imported in CKD & CBU conditions which are also in pipeline to manufacture or assemble in this country.
