Honda Activa 110 Ownership Review - Tariqul Islam
This is Mohammed Tariqul Islam, from Dhaka. I am lucky to have my first motorcycle, a Honda ACTIVA 110.
The reason I love riding a two-wheeler is that it is the best option to commute around the city. anytime, anywhere. Even in the tight spaces of Dhaka.
Back in 2011, my father bought this Honda Activa. Back then, it cost him 90,000 taka. The reason it was chosen was for its great comfort and reliability.
The main reason to ride this motorcycle is its automatic transmission. No need to worry about clutches and gears. Just accelerate and cruise. People in India love this motorcycle so much that it's no wonder why it's the best-selling scooter in India.
It's not a common scooter in Bangladesh. Many service centers can’t do service properly. So that's why I always do most of this service by myself and with the help of a well-known technician. and I source most of the parts from India. It's very cheap out there.

Currently, I'm getting mileage in the city around 35–37 km per litter octane. And on the highway, around 48km per litter.
Currently, I'm using the Idemitsu 10W30 MB Matic oil. Many people use MA2-type oil for scooters, which is different from MB type. MB oils are made specifically for clutch-less scooters.
The scooter is currently serving 56k+ kilometers. For now, I have changed. Battery twice, rear shock absorber, looking glass, spark plug, and air filter. As per modification,.
I replaced the headlight with an LED one and replaced it with a powerful horn. I did some sticker jobs on my body.
It's not made for speed. It was made for smooth, comfortable commuting. Though it's almost a 12-year-old machine, the last time I checked, the top speed was 85+ km per hour.
Cons about this bike:
- Less powerful
- Small wheel size
- Small fuel capacity
- Widebody
- Small headlight.
- Parts availability
Pros about this scooter:
- Smooth engine
- Comfortable to ride
- Great luggage storage.
- Small turning radius
- Well body balance
- Full metal body.
- Comfortable wide seat for both pillion and rider
The longest ride I did on this scooter was around 100km. Without any tiredness and body pain. Just have to be aware of potholes as it has a smaller wheel.
Overall it's a king of the scooter world. The best things to ride in The city with various luggage-carrying options. Nowadays can’t go out without my scooter.
